‘Overexposed’ is made of a single long take, filmed on the stage design for the play ‘The Blind Spot’ by Yannis Mavritsakis. The two works share a common interest in the scrutiny of the ‘blind self, the one whom everybody can see but you’. The film is the result of the encounter between this material space and the virtual one originated in post-production.

An early version of the work was first projected as part of a theatrical production of the play by the Hellenic Theatre Studies Association, in Easter 2015.

The music was expressly written for the final version by George Hatzimichelakis, marking our first collaboration on an original soundtrack.
