“Maison” tries to capture a human made reality when emptied of its human presence.
It is a careful observation of a space seen through uncontaminated eyes, which ignore the established ways to look at things: theirs is a look that distorts the natural scale of objects and disregards their utilitarian value, revealing a new approach to the spatial perception of the most familiar place, the home.
Shot with a below-the-average mobile phone, using exclusively close-ups and low-light conditions, the film depicts the details of everyday objects and items in a way that makes their altered texture, shape and size become meaningless and vague.
